VTC-LP621230 3.7V 170mAh Li-ion Polymer Battery — Engineering and OEM Guide
The VTC-LP621230 is a 3.7V 170mAh Li-ion polymer battery for compact rechargeable electronics. Its protected pack measures no more than 6.4 × 12.5 × 32.5mm and combines an S8261DAA-M6T1U protection IC, dp8205 MOSFET and 10K NTC with red, black and yellow leads. Standard charge and discharge current is 34mA, with 170mA rapid charging and maximum discharge current. Use a compatible CC-CV charger with a 4.2V charge limit and a 3.0V discharge cut-off. VTCBATT supports factory supply, sample development, OEM/ODM customization and wholesale batch orders, with wiring, connector matching and protection requirements reviewed against the final device design.

| Standard charge | 34mA CC to 4.2V, then CV to 0.01C termination; listed time 6–7 hours |
| Rapid charge | 170mA; listed nominal time 1.0 hour, actual completion depends on CV taper and charger behavior |
| Standard discharge | 34mA to 3.0V |
| Maximum discharge | 170mA |
| Peak discharge | 340mA; pulse duration and duty cycle require confirmation |
| Nominal energy | Approximately 0.63Wh (3.7V × 0.170Ah) |
| Initial pack impedance | ≤280mΩ, measured at 3.7V, AC 1kHz |
| Operating humidity | ≤90% RH |
Design to the normal charge and discharge limits. Protection thresholds are secondary safeguards, and a 1.8A typical overcurrent trip point does not authorize operation above the 170mA maximum discharge current.
Pack Dimensions and Mechanical Integration
| Label | Description | Dimension |
|---|---|---|
| A | Cell tab length | 4–8mm |
| B | Cell tab pitch | 5.5±1.5mm |
| C | Cell tab width | 2±0.2mm |
| D | Cell top sealant length | 4±1mm |
| T | Cell thickness, initial maximum | 6.2mm |
| T | Cell thickness after 600 cycles, maximum | 6.6mm |
| W | Cell width, maximum | 12.0mm |
| H | Cell height, maximum | 30.0mm |
| T | Pack thickness, initial maximum | 6.4mm |
| W | Pack width, maximum | 12.5mm |
| H | Pack height, maximum | 32.5mm |
| L | Wire length | 40±3mm |

The cell thickness allowance increases to 6.6mm after 600 cycles. Reserve expansion clearance beyond initial pack dimensions and protect the pouch and sealing edges from compression, sharp surfaces and bending. The BOM uses JST/PH-3P wording and the drawing uses JST/PHR-3P; confirm the mating housing and orientation against the approved drawing.
Protection Circuit and NTC
The assembly uses S8261DAA-M6T1U and dp8205 protection components. A 10K NTC provides a separate temperature-sensing lead for the host electronics.

Operating and Storage Conditions
Charge at 0 to 45°C and discharge at −20 to 60°C. These are operating limits, not a guarantee of equal capacity at every temperature. Recommended storage is 15 to 35°C at no more than 85% RH. For extended storage, maintain approximately 3.6–3.9V and review or recharge the cell every six months under the specified storage conditions.
Electrical Test Requirements
The following values are qualification criteria for the cell, not a batch-specific measurement report. Operating conditions, charge termination and capacity basis affect the result.
| Test | Acceptance criterion | Procedure |
|---|---|---|
| 0.2C discharge | Capacity no less than nominal capacity | Standard charge; rest 5 minutes; discharge at 0.2C to 3.0V |
| 1C discharge | Capacity at least 90% of nominal capacity | Standard charge; rest 5 minutes; discharge at 1C to 3.0V |
| Cycle life | At least 600 cycles under the specified procedure | 0.2C CC-CV to 4.2V, terminate at 0.02C; 0.2C discharge to 3.0V; end point 80% of rated capacity |
| 28-day retention | At least 85% of initial capacity | Store charged cell at 20±5°C for 28 days, then 0.2C discharge |
Application Fit and Selection
This narrow 170mAh lithium polymer battery is a candidate for fitness trackers, rechargeable Bluetooth tags, compact presentation remotes, miniature voice recorders, digital styluses, temperature data loggers, wireless page-turner remotes and electronic badges. Its small protected format and three-wire temperature-sensing connection support integration into space-constrained electronics when the enclosure, operating current and charging circuit are compatible. VTCBATT can review connector pinouts, wire length, NTC configuration, protection design and labeling during sample development. Factory-direct battery wholesale and batch supply are available for equipment manufacturers, brand owners and distributors; final fit and runtime should be verified with representative device loads.

Comparing Cell and Protected Pack Integration
