502030 LiPo Battery for Compact Rechargeable Devices
VTCBATT VTC-LP502030 is a 3.7V 200mAh lithium polymer rechargeable battery for compact electronics. The protected pack has a maximum envelope of 5.2 × 20.5 × 32.0mm and an approximate weight of 4g. The specified assembly combines a lithium polymer cell, S8261DAA-M6T1U protection IC, dp8205 MOSFET and 10K NTC temperature-sensing component. With 40mA standard charge/discharge current, 200mA rapid-charge and maximum-discharge current, and a 4.2V charge limit, it supports carefully matched single-cell device designs. VTCBATT offers factory-direct supply, engineering review, OEM/ODM customization discussions and battery wholesale support based on an agreed specification.

Cell and Protected Pack Dimensions
Use the protected pack envelope for enclosure design. The 502030 cell designation does not include all of the protection circuit and insulation allowance. Provide additional space for expansion and avoid pressure on pouch edges.

Charging, Discharge and Power Budget
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Standard charging | 40mA (0.2C), CC/CV to 4.2V; termination at 0.01C (2mA) |
| Standard charging time | 6–7 hours |
| Rapid charging | 200mA (1C); listed time 1.0 hour, subject to starting state and termination |
| Standard discharge | 40mA (0.2C) to 3.0V |
| Maximum discharge | 200mA (1C) |
| Peak discharge | 400mA (2C); pulse duration and duty cycle not specified—confirm before design use |
| Initial pack impedance | ≤220mΩ at 3.7V, AC 1kHz |
| Initial voltage | ≥3.8V |
| Operating humidity | ≤90% RH |
At 3.7V and 200mAh, nominal energy is 0.74Wh. Actual device runtime depends on usable capacity, current profile, conversion efficiency, temperature and cut-off settings. The 400mA peak rating is not a continuous-current rating.
Protection Circuit and NTC Interface
The specified PCBA uses S8261DAA-M6T1U and dp8205 in SOT23-6 packages. The temperature-sensing component is 10K ±1%, B3435 ±1%. The host charger or control circuit must interpret the NTC input; the thermistor alone does not establish a system-level temperature cutoff.
| Protection Parameter | Minimum / Typical / Maximum |
|---|---|
| Overcharge detection | 4.260 / 4.280 / 4.300V |
| Overcharge release | 4.030 / 4.080 / 4.130V |
| Overcharge delay | 0.7 / 1.0 / 1.3s |
| Over-discharge detection | 2.950 / 3.000 / 3.050V |
| Over-discharge release | 2.900 / 3.000 / 3.100V |
| Over-discharge delay | 179 / 256 / 333ms |
| Discharge over-current detection | 1.0 / 1.8 / 2.5A |
| PCM resistance | — / 50 / 70mΩ |
| Operating static current | 3 / 5 / 7µA |
| Power-down current | — / — / 0.5µA |
| Short-circuit delay | 196 / 280 / 364µs |
The protection trip current is a fault threshold, not an allowable battery load. Keep normal discharge within the 200mA maximum cell rating. The listed over-discharge release range overlaps the detection range; confirm the final protection configuration with engineering before relying on release hysteresis.
Lead Configuration and Photo Reference
The specified pack has three UL3302 28AWG leads, 100 ± 3mm long: yellow for 10K NTC, red for P+ and black for P−. Product photographs show a two-lead example. Confirm the NTC lead, wire length and connector pinout for the ordered assembly before sampling or production. Application photographs are integration concepts, not evidence of a completed device qualification.
Performance Qualification Criteria
The following values are specified acceptance criteria. They are not batch test results or measured discharge curves. Request the relevant qualification records for your project.
| Test | Acceptance Criterion | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| 0.2C discharge capacity | At least nominal capacity | Standard charge, rest 5 minutes, discharge at 0.2C to cut-off |
| 1C discharge capacity | At least 90% of nominal capacity | Standard charge, rest 5 minutes, discharge at 1C to cut-off |
| Cycle life | At least 600 cycles to 80% of rated capacity | 0.2C CC/CV charge to 4.2V, terminate at 0.02C; 0.2C discharge to 3.0V |
| Self-discharge / charge retention | At least 85% of initial capacity | 28 days at 20 ± 5°C after standard charge, then 0.2C discharge |
Temperature, Storage and Handling
Charge only between 0 and 45°C; discharge between -20 and 60°C. Recommended storage is 15–35°C with maximum 85% RH. The stated short storage range is -20 to 45°C for less than one month; the long storage range is -10 to 45°C for more than three months, both at maximum 90% RH. For extended storage, maintain 3.6–3.9V and follow the six-month recharge recommendation. Do not crush, puncture, bend, short-circuit or directly solder the pouch cell.
Cell Versus Protected Pack
| Selection Point | Bare Cell | Specified Protected Pack |

| Protection components | Managed by the device design | S8261DAA-M6T1U + dp8205 |
| Temperature interface | Depends on assembly | 10K NTC specified |
| Connection | Cell tabs | Three 100 ± 3mm wires specified |
Applications and OEM Ordering
Potential applications include rechargeable Bluetooth item locators, presentation clickers, environmental data loggers, miniature voice recorders, camera shutter remotes, wireless mice, e-paper desk tags and small Bluetooth keyboards. Device suitability depends on the complete current profile, charger design, runtime target and available enclosure space. VTCBATT can review lead lengths, connector choices, pin assignments, protection requirements and NTC interfaces as part of an OEM battery customization or wholesale supply enquiry. Confirm the production wiring before ordering: the specification defines three leads including a yellow NTC lead, while the supplied product photographs show a two-lead example.
