Cell size and structure
The cylindrical cell has two terminals on a black end face and a blue insulating wrap. Direct soldering to the cell is prohibited; tabs or busbars should be spot welded before lead connections are made. Battery modules require insulation that prevents wire-to-cell short circuits.

Charging, discharge and cycle performance
Standard charging uses 50A constant current followed by constant voltage at 3.65V until current falls to 2.5A. Standard discharge uses 50A to 2.5V. The cell is specified for at least 3,000 cycles at 0.5C and at least 2,000 cycles at 1C, in both cases measured to 80% of initial capacity. The maximum 150A charge and 250A discharge ratings are instantaneous values and should not be treated as continuous cyclic limits.
Temperature and retention
Charging is specified from 0°C to 50°C and discharging from -20°C to 50°C. At -20°C, the 1C discharge test to 2.0V specifies at least 80% capacity retention. Room-temperature storage for 28 days specifies at least 96% capacity retention and at least 97% recovery; the 60°C seven-day test specifies at least 94% retention and 95% recovery.
