Embedded with USB emergency charging port in hotel and apartment scenarios, the annual maintenance cost is 40% lower than traditional solutions.
Emergency light batteries are mainly lithium-ion batteries, lithium-iron-phosphate batteries, nickel cadmium batteries, nickel metal hydride batteries, and lead acid batteries.
Among them, lithium-ion batteries are mainly composed of lithium cobaltate, which has an energy density of up to 200-300Wh/kg, a long lifespan of 5-10 years, and a monthly self-discharge rate of less than 3%. It is mainly used in commercial buildings and smart home systems.
Lithium iron phosphate battery is mainly made of LiFePO₄ as the cathode material. It has a long life span of 8-12 years, and it can operate normally at low temperatures, with a thermal runaway temperature of more than 270°C. It is mainly used in cold storage and outdoor storage, with a high energy density of 200-300Wh/kg, and a monthly self-discharge rate of less than 3%. It is mainly used in cold storage warehousing, outdoor rescue equipment, and photovoltaic off-grid systems.
Nickel-cadmium battery is mainly composed of nickel oxide and metallic cadmium. It can operate in a wide temperature range of -40℃~70℃. It has a high resistance to overcharge/overdischarge and a cycle life of 500-1000 cycles. However, cadmium will cause pollution to the environment and needs to be professionally recycled. It is commonly used in extreme industrial environments such as petrochemicals and mines.
Nickel-metal hydride battery is mainly composed of rare-earth hydrogen storage alloy. Its energy density is between 80-120Wh/kg. However, its monthly self-discharge rate is as high as 20%-30%, and it needs to be recharged regularly. It is commonly used in underground parking lots and marine emergency systems.
Lead-acid battery mainly consists of lead plates with sulfuric acid electrolyte. It costs 50% less than lithium batteries and is easy to maintain. It has a service life of 2-5 years, an energy density of only 30-50Wh/kg, and poor low-temperature performance. Therefore, it is mainly used for civil emergency lights and small evacuation indicator lights.
When the power supply is normal, the power supply is stepped down to 12-36V through a transformer, and the built-in battery is charged through a constant current charging circuit. The charging indicator lights up at this time, and the charging current is usually controlled at 0.1C-0.2C to prolong the battery life. The control circuit will detect the power supply status in real time. When the voltage falls below 100V or the frequency is abnormal, the relay coil will be de-energized and its movable contact will switch from the normally open to normally closed position. The switching process takes less than 0.3 seconds, and the signal transmission stability is ensured by an optocoupler isolation circuit. When the utility power is interrupted, the battery pack outputs AC power through the inverter, or directly drives the low-voltage LED light source. The central control system can automatically start the strong start mode, through the special line to force the lighting of all emergency lamps and lanterns.
The replacement time for emergency light batteries is related to the type of battery and environmental factors. Lead-acid batteries generally need to be replaced once every 2-3 years, Ni-Cd batteries once every 3-5 years, Li-ion batteries once every 5-7 years, and Li-FePO4 batteries once every 8-12 years. If the battery is in a high-temperature environment for a long time, then its life will be shortened by 30%-50%. If it is used in chemical plants and other scenarios, it needs to be replaced 1-2 years in advance. If the battery is in a place with humidity > 85%, then the risk of circuit board corrosion will be greatly increased, so you need to test the internal resistance of the battery every year.
