VTCBATT Advantages in Sensor Battery

Most wireless sensors ,such as Loranwan,Zigbee,BLE have transmission frequency and Wi-Fi signal to interfere with other electronics. For high current sensor,VTCBATT sensor battery adopts superior circuit design to separate the EMI  interference. With 20-years experience in producing sensor battery, our engineering team are skilled in designing the multiple capacitor and resistor in the battery protection circuit to avoid any EMI interruption.

Can I employ batteries of different chemistries like lithium-thionyl chloride (Li‑SOCl₂), lithium-ion (Li‑ion), or lithium polymer (Li‑Po)? How do I choose the right one for my gear?

Yes. Different battery chemistries have their own strengths for specific sensor applications. Lithium-thionyl chloride (Li‑SOCl₂) batteries offer extremely long shelf life and very little self-discharge, so they are best suited for low-power sensors that need to operate for years on end without refueling.

Lithium-ion and lithium polymer (Li‑ion / Li‑Po) batteries provide higher power delivery and chargeability, appropriate for sensors that have a high frequency of data transmission or higher current bursts. We can help you select the best chemistry for your sensor’s power profile and working conditions to gain maximum performance and reliability.

How long does the 1900mAh sensor battery last?

Our batteries incorporate high-grade VTC lithium battery technology, which has the capacity to withstand more than 1,000 charge-discharge cycles in partial discharge mode (usually around 80% depth of discharge). Even with a full discharge mode (100% depth of discharge), they are able to sustain a cycle life of about 500 cycles, placing you in command of a long-term and reliable source of power with reduced replacement needs.

What types of sensors or devices is the 1900mAh sensor battery suitable for?

IoT applications, remote monitoring, or industrial sensors – this battery is efficient and reliable power backup for your devices.

How long can it stay in standby mode?

This is mostly dependent on the power consumption of your device. If it’s an IoT device or ultra-low power usage sensor, the standby time could be even up to a few months since our lithium batteries have very low self-discharging features. This is very simple to keep up with and allows for longer standby and inventory periods for devices.

How well does this battery perform in real use?

It has a very stable output. Even if the battery is running low, the voltage remains stable, and therefore the device will not become slower or suddenly shut down, thus becoming more reliable to use.

Is it safe to use?

Extremely safe. This battery never ignites or explodes and has been certified globally with standards such as CE, UL, RoHS, UN38.3, and IEC62133. Each battery is strictly tested and hand-assembled in our factory by seasoned engineers, so you can use it in your product with confidence.

Can it operate at ‑40 °C, and what’s the typical cycle life?

Yes, we have an available low-temperature version of the polymer battery that can be discharged at 0.2C at ‑40 °C, with a retention of 60–80% of its capacity in these conditions. At normal temperatures, the battery is around 500 full cycles at 100% depth of discharge, and it is suitable for outdoor and harsh environment applications.

What wire gauge do you use, and how much current can it handle?

The selection of the wire largely relies on the needs of current of the sensor. In the case of IoT or low-current sensors with current requirements below 1A, we largely use light-weight, thin, and flexible wires, which are easier to route and are safe.

For industrial monitoring with high current requirements or environmental sensors, we utilize wires of handling capacity around 5A for the supply of stabilized and safe power. In case you require even greater peak current, we can also provide specially ordered thicker wires to ensure seamless system performance under heavy load conditions.

Do you make 3–5C high-rate polymer sensor batteries?

Yes, we can. Such high discharge currents are not usually required for most sensors, but in the case of products requiring high instant currents, such as industrial pressure sensors, wireless data transmitters, or environmental monitoring instruments requiring strong signal outputs, we can modify 3–5C polymer batteries to suit your needs. Since these products are high-performance custom products, the minimum order quantity is usually about twice the standard model.

How thin are your polymer sensor batteries?

We can get them as thin as approximately 1 mm, but the actual size also relies on the length‑to‑width ratio of the battery. For extremely thin devices such as smart bands, wearables, or miniaturized industrial sensors, our engineers will initially assess your design to ensure that the battery is safe and robust while satisfying your power needs.

What protection features come built-in?

The battery itself also has overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection. If there is higher safety required by your project, we also have temperature protection or a PCM module available.

What’s the warranty period for this 1900 mAh battery?

The standard warranty period is one year. For some special OEM projects, we can ensure a two-year warranty.

Do you have any technical support to help us integrate the battery into our products?

Yes. Our engineers will design the tailor-made battery specifically for your products in size, connectors and power demand. This can ensure that you can integrate the battery into products. We can also help you with cell matching, assembly, and integration consultation to ensure that your batteries are stable and long-lasting from the moment your product is released.

What is the MOQ for OEM projects?

The minimum order quantity for regular models is very flexible. We can, if there is inventory on hand, any order is acceptable. If the new production line has to be opened, the minimum quantity order will be higher to ensure production efficiency and shipping time.

If I place an order for a bulk quantity of this 1900 mAh sensor battery, can you guarantee supply? What is the shipping time?

Our company has a daily production of about 180,000 polymer batteries and 80,000 lithium-ion batteries, and thus tens of thousands of orders are delivered in a timely manner.

Common models usually keep stock on hand, small orders are shipped immediately, and bulk orders will be coordinated according to the production plan and usually completed within two to three weeks. The shipping time for the 1900mAh sensor battery is about 4-7 days for airshipping and 20-25 days for seashipping.

How do we store the battery for long-term usage?

It is always best to keep the battery charged to the level of about 50% and store it in a cool, dry location away from direct sun exposure and intense heat. This way, the battery will be in good health even after very long storage.

What if we receive defective units in a shipment?

Just contact us directly. We shall provide technical assistance or replacement services to guarantee the stability and security of your supply chain in accordance with our quality control policy.

How do I charge this 1900 mAh sensor battery?

The safest approach is to use a proper lithium battery charger and make sure the cut-off voltage is identical. Different cells utilize 4.1V or 4.2V cut-off voltages. Don’t use any other battery chargers, such as nickel-cadmium battery chargers, don’t overcharge, and charge at the advised temperature ranges.

If you prefer something easier and safer, we also have an exclusive VTCBATT lithium-ion battery charger. It is designed to deliver a stable 14.4V output on a 12V system, enabling the battery to be charged to full 100%. Our charger is strong and carries fast charging, with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty, ensuring your product is safe from charge to use.

How is it shipped or transported safely?

Lithium batteries are classified as hazardous materials while in transit. We use specialized packaging certified according to UN38.3 and adhere to rigorous international transport practices by IATA and IMDG to ensure safe shipping of batteries worldwide.
