Low Self-Discharge: ≥70% Charge Retention After One Year
VTCBATT WT44AAA600P 3.6V 600mAh Low Self-Discharge Ni-MH Battery Pack combines a compact three-AAA assembly with a defined storage-charge-retention requirement: at least 70% of initial capacity after one year at 20°C. This rechargeable Ni-MH battery pack is intended for OEM evaluation in compact devices that may spend extended periods unused. Standard charge is 60mA for 16 hours, and standard discharge is 120mA to 3.0V per pack. Factory-direct supply, sample evaluation and pack customization can be discussed against the final electrical and mechanical requirements.
The retention requirement uses standard charging, storage at 20°C for one year, then 120mA discharge to 3.0V. It describes remaining stored charge relative to initial capacity. Device sleep current, charger leakage and operating temperature must be included when estimating backup or standby time.

Charging, Discharge and Temperature Integration
Use 60mA for 16 hours for standard charge. Fast charging at 120mA for approximately six hours requires the specified termination controls. The pack specification lists −ΔV of 15mV per pack and a 0–40°C fast-charge temperature cutoff; do not apply the broad single-cell temperature range as an unrestricted fast-charge permission.
The maximum discharge rating is 1.9A at a separately specified 2.4V cutoff. Standard capacity evaluation uses 120mA to 3.0V. The −40°C test uses 2.1V per pack and the +85°C test uses 3.0V; these are distinct test conditions. PTC hold current is temperature-dependent and must be considered in system design.
Storage Readiness Versus Device Standby
| Use condition | Selection implication |
|---|---|
| Stored pack | ≥70% initial capacity after one year at 20°C under the specified procedure |
| Connected device | Runtime depends on usable capacity, load duty cycle and circuit leakage |
| Higher-temperature storage | Separate permitted storage durations apply; the one-year 20°C retention result does not extend to every temperature |
| Rechargeable use | Use Ni-MH charging control; this pack is not a drop-in substitute for a 3.6V primary lithium cell |
Applications for Intermittent Use
For cordless phones, small rechargeable radios, portable data loggers, thermostats, environmental sensors, alarm keypad backup, low-power inspection lamps and controller memory backup, VTCBATT offers OEM evaluation and battery wholesale support. Low self-discharge helps retain stored charge between uses. Confirm a 3.6V Ni-MH-compatible charging circuit, connector pinout, pack dimensions, load profile and storage environment. Wiring, connector and temperature-sensing options are subject to the approved assembly drawing; the two-wire photo variant and three-wire NTC drawing must be distinguished when ordering.
Application scenes are illustrative integration concepts. Device compatibility requires electrical and mechanical validation.
Factory OEM Evaluation and Ordering
Specify the two-wire or three-wire variant, connector and pinout, lead length, charging algorithm and load profile. Request sample approval before volume supply. The pack warranty is 12 months from the ex-factory date under the specified handling and use conditions. Product-specific certification documents should be reviewed for the destination and application; component approvals do not establish pack certification.
