Advantages of Our Pulse Oximeter Battery

Lightweight Design
Lightweight Design

In the field of pulse oximeter batteries, traditional lead-acid batteries have an energy density of only 30-50 Wh/kg and are very heavy. VTCBATT lightweight lithium batteries and nickel-metal hydride batteries have an energy density 3-5 times that of the former. They are easy to use and carry.

Long Lifespan
Long Lifespan

After 1500 cycles of deep discharge, the remaining capacity of VTCBATT pulse oximeter batteries can still reach more than 80% of the initial capacity. They can also withstand a wide operating temperature range of -40℃ to 60℃ without losing discharge efficiency. Our batteries are durable and significantly reduce your replacement frequency.

Excellent Mechanical Properties
Excellent Mechanical Properties

VTCBATT pulse oximeter batteries, fully charged, were dropped from a height of 1.9 meters and remained intact. They also did not crack or emit smoke in nail penetration and high-impact impact tests. Their excellent mechanical safety allows them to withstand the complexities of the medical field.

Outstanding Safety Performance
Outstanding Safety Performance

Our pulse oximeter batteries are tested and proven to be non-leaking, smoke-generating, or fire-resistant in the event of overcharge, over-discharge, or overheating. For larger battery packs, we offer customized BMS services. This provides added security for your batteries. These batteries have passed multiple safety certifications, including UL, CB, and CE.

Voltage Consistency
Voltage Consistency

VTCBATT pulse oximeters provide exceptional voltage consistency. The voltage variation between cells in the same batch is minimal. This makes them ideal for connecting multiple batteries in series or parallel. Minimizing voltage variations maximizes usable capacity and improves discharge power and stability. This also positively impacts battery and device lifespan.

Wide Compatibility
Wide Compatibility

Wide Compatibility

Our removable pulse oximeter batteries conform to standardized battery specifications. They are compatible with most portable oximeters for home use or medical use. As long as the battery voltage is roughly the same as the one specified in the oximeter’s manual, it will work. This makes it much more convenient, especially in emergencies.

Waterproof Performance

The disposable Li-ion batteries and rechargeable Ni-MH batteries manufactured by VTCBATT have large capacity and can last up to hundreds of hours. They are also small and detachable, making them very convenient to use.

Such pulse oximeter batteries are very suitable for the compact design of home pulse oximeters. In addition, these batteries can achieve an IP67 waterproof rating and are impact-resistant and drop-resistant. They will not easily break or leak. Such safety can ensure that non-professionals will not encounter danger during use.

  • Medical Portable or Desktop Pulse Oximeter

Considering the professionalism and durability requirements of medical equipment, VTCBATT can provide built-in rechargeable Li-ion pulse oximeter batteries. Rechargeable pulse oximeter batteries save you the hassle of frequent battery purchases and replacements, while also being more environmentally friendly and convenient.

Our Li-ion batteries boast an energy density of up to 250 Wh/kg. They last for dozens of hours on a full charge. This continuous power supply ensures uninterrupted medical monitoring. For higher-capacity Li-ion batteries, we utilize a BMS to protect against smoke or fire due to overcharging, over-discharging, and short circuits. This eliminates the risk of medical accidents caused by device failure.

What types of pulse oximeter batteries do you have?

VTCBATT manufactures a wide variety of pulse oximeter batteries. Whether you’re looking for a lightweight, compact, safe, or stable battery, we can make it happen. Below are some classic battery models you can choose from. If you don’t see the pulse oximeter battery type you’re looking for, please contact us for a custom design. We can also provide OEM/ODM services.

AA size Ni-MH batteries are rechargeable. Therefore, they don’t need to be replaced as frequently as alkaline batteries. This makes them an environmentally friendly and cost-effective upgrade. The nominal voltage of this battery is 1.2v and the capacity is 1900-2550 mAh.

AA size disposable lithium batteries are lighter and have better low temperature resistance. Their self-discharge rate is as low as 5% a month. The nominal voltage of this battery is 1.5v and the capacity is 2900-3500 mAh.

AAA size Ni-MH batteries are smaller and lighter than AA-sized ones, but their capacity is also relatively small. They are more suitable for portable pulse oximeters that require a small size. The nominal voltage of this battery is 1.2v and the capacity is 800-1000 mAh.

AAA size disposable lithium batteries are perfectly compatible with pulse oximeters that originally used alkaline batteries. They can maintain a relatively stable power output at the end of the battery life. The nominal voltage of this battery is 1.5v and the capacity is 1200-1300 mAh.

Rechargeable Li-ion batteries need to be charged via Micro USB, USB-C port or a dedicated charging dock. They have a nominal voltage of 3.7V and a built-in battery management system. Capacity varies widely, ranging from 500mAh to 2000mAh. A full charge provides 20-30 hours of use, or even longer. A cycle life of over 500 cycles at 80% DOD demonstrates their durability, making them an excellent choice for long-term blood oxygen monitoring.

Can a low battery affect the pulse oximeter?

Yes. A low battery charge can affect the performance of a pulse oximeter. When the pulse oximeter battery voltage drops below the device’s voltage, the device’s protection mechanisms are triggered. For example, the oximeter may shut down to prevent circuit damage. If this happens during monitoring, previous data may be lost. More dangerously, a low pulse oximeter battery charge can cause unstable device power, resulting in reduced blood oxygen measurement accuracy.

Therefore, we recommend choosing a pulse oximeter battery with BMS. The BMS limits current when the battery level drops below 10%, maintaining an error of less than 1%, allowing for safe operation. If you require a custom BMS, please contact us. Our professional engineers are available 24/7 to assist you.

What if the removable pulse oximeter battery cannot have a built-in BMS?

Although BMS can provide good protection for pulse oximeter batteries, it is not suitable for single-cell removable batteries. To replace the core protection functions of the BMS in large battery packs, VTCBATT has designed a simplified protection circuit for Li-ion batteries. This miniaturized battery protection board can protect the battery from overcharge, overdischarge, and short circuit. It can not only prevent dangers such as leakage and fire, but also alleviate the negative impact of low battery on the oximeter.

How to change batteries in pulse oximeters?

To replace the removable pulse oximeter battery, first turn off the device and disconnect the probe. Then, install the new battery according to the polarity diagram inside the compartment. Always replace the entire battery pack at once; do not mix old and new batteries. If you don’t have experience in this area, don’t worry. When you buy our pulse oximeter battery, VTCBATT will provide you with a detailed instruction manual. The instructions will be shown in the diagrams to guide you through the steps.

If you purchased a built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery, please do not replace the battery yourself! If you have any questions about this, please contact us. We will provide you with a suitable solution in a timely manner to ensure that your machine can be used normally.

How to extend the service life of the pulse oximeter battery?

Because pulse oximeters require continuous power for monitoring, extending battery life is crucial. To minimize battery drain, store the device in a cool, dry place. If not in use for an extended period, it is recommended to remove the battery. Also, avoid exposing the battery to extreme temperatures (>60°C) or extreme cold (<-40°C) to prevent degradation. Regularly inspect the battery contacts for signs of corrosion and clean as necessary.
