For long time storage, the cell storage voltage should be 3.6~3.9V and the cell should be stored under the normal test condition in section 5.1. It is recommended to charge the cell every six months.
10. Warning and Cautions
10.1 Warning
- Do not immerse the battery in water or seawater. Store it in a cool and dry environment when not in use.
- Do not discard or leave the battery near a heat source such as fire or a heater.
- Use a battery charger specifically designed for this purpose.
- Do not reverse the positive and negative terminals, connect the battery directly to an electrical outlet, or short the terminals with metal objects.
- Do not transport or store the battery together with metal objects such as necklaces or hairpins.
- Do not strike, throw, trample, directly solder, pierce, disassemble, bend, fold, open, or deform the battery or sealing edge.
- Do not use damaged cells or mix with other different battery models.
- Battery replacement shall be done only by the cell supplier or device supplier, never by the user.
- Keep the battery away from babies. Any components contacting the two edges must be insulated.
10.2 Cautions
- Do not use or leave the battery at very high temperature conditions, such as strong direct sunlight or a vehicle in extremely hot conditions.
- Do not use it in locations with strong electrostatic or magnetic conditions; safety devices may be damaged.
- If electrolyte gets into the eyes, rinse with clean water immediately and seek medical attention.
- If the battery gives off odor, generates heat, becomes discolored or deformed, or appears abnormal during use, recharging, or storage, remove it from the device or charger and stop using it.
- If terminals are dirty, clean them with a dry cloth before use to avoid poor connection.
- Discharged batteries may cause fire; tape the terminals to insulate them.
